The Debt Relief Foundation (DRF) charitable trust acquired leading personal debt solution provider Debtfix in August 2022, becoming Aotearoa’s first registered debt solution charity.

 

DRF continues to use the Debtfix brand as that is well established by the sector and lenders alike.

 

Our Vision

New Zealanders are financially resilient and free from problem debt.

Funds raised go towards:

  • improving and developing new debt solutions so more people can achieve financial stability sooner

  • providing solutions for individuals including sole traders with complex debt problems

  • advocating for changes to laws and procedures that stigmatise and penalise people in debt

  • working with government, industry, iwi, and community organisations to deliver education that improves financial capability

  • working with the finance sector to prevent predatory lenders establishing in New Zealand

 

We have an independent trust board responsible for guiding our strategy, keeping us focused on our goals, managing risk and overseeing our financial performance.

Everyone should have the freedom to manage and control their personal finances for a happier life free from stress and worry.
